This has to be the highlight of Adam Sandler's career; as well as a laugh out loud hilarious film this is the sum total of my golf knowledge also. I won't go into the storyline as it's fairly generic anyway and merely a platform for some of the best humour to ever come from over the pond. If you've never seen this film then it really is highly recommended, if you have seen it you alrady know how good it is
Essential viewing if you're into golf, or even if you've just got a sense of humour. You will never see golf in the same way again after this. Hilarious from start to finish, but with a bit of a heartwarming side too, and several memorable quotes which I'm trying to figure out how to slip into everyday conversation. Most of Adam Sandler's films are good, but this is definitely the best.
This makes me laugh right from the start. If you need a pick me up this film should do it. Happy is a hockey player who somehow finds he is rather good at golf with his somewhat unusual style and clubs. He needs money to pay his grandmothers tax bill, meets good and bad characters along the way. It has a happy ending for grandma, the baddie gets his reward and Happy gets the girl. What more could you wish for!
I love this film. If you haven't seen Little Nicky, watch this first! If you have, it will explain a few scenes in Little Nicky that you may not have got. But, the two films are otherwise unrelated and not part of a series or anything so enjoy however you see fit.
