Realmente me costó decidir, pero he de decir que vale la pena. No siempre lo barato sale caro. Esta tienda es un ejemplo claro de ello. Llevo utilizando el producto más de dos meses y ningun problema. En tan solo dos días recibí mi pedido. Todo correcto y en perfecto estado. Recibí el producto muy bien empaquetado y protegido. Me llegó en perfectas condiciones. Muy contento. No hay nada como saber que detrás de un producto, siempre hay una persona que te puede solucionar las dudas. Trato cercano, atencion personalizada y buena calidad. ¿Que más se puede pedir? Muy profesionales, son el claro ejemplo de que todo es posible si se quiere. Será mi empresa de referencia. Dentro de la trilogía del Caballero oscuro esta es, según mi criterio, la más floja. La calidad de imagen es muy buena, gracias a que el director filma en Imax. El sonido, en cambio, resulta a estas alturas muy corriente: dolby digital 5.1. Hay que tener en cuenta el año de la película. En general, en las películas oscuras se aprecia mejor la calidad de imagen del bluray. Y esta cumple con las espectativas.

Gran película, gran edición metálica, altamente recomendable por sus acabados, sus impresión en metal, sin duda muy buena edición.

Respecto a la película, puede llegar a ser muy aburrida y yo creo que en gran parte por Christian Bale. Es un actor que no me termina de entrar por el ojo, aburrido y seco y ni de lejos le pega un papel de super héroe...
Lo que la hace grande, es la gran ambientación de Gotham, brutal, como siempre.

After years of not having a Batman film and mostly due to the franchise hitting bottom thanks to Joel Schumacher's disastrous "Batman forever" and "Batman and Robin", Christopher Nolan present us his version of the character with an impressive all star cast anda story brilliantly written by David S. Goyer.

The film

There were high expectations for this film before its release as if would it be as good as Burton's films, the truth is, there are no points to compare, Nolan and Burton visions are quite different from each other, but both respect the origins and essence of who the character is.

Goyer took some liberties in the storytelling that could be considered as unforgivable by many fans (Bruce's parents are originally killed after seeing "Mark of Zorro" at the movie theater, a fact that marks Bruce's mind with the idea of a masked vigilante) but also hints at stuff that the previous versions let pass unnoticed, the main focus of this film are the origins of Batman and his training to become what he ultimately is. Even though the detective part of Bruce's training is not even mentioned, the twist in which Ra's Al Ghul (Liam Neeson) is the one who trained him in the ninja arts and theatricality just makes their conflict more delightful and interesting. Cameos and appearances of characters from the comic book are also well used, justified and important to the story (Carmine Falcone and killer Zsaz)

The story uses the two villains exactly as they would act in the comic book, Ra's Al Ghul with his constant desire to set thing right his way and Jonathan Crane (Cillian Murphy) working and experimenting with the thing he enjoys the most: fear. Even though the Scarecrow is totally the opposite of the comic book (in the comic Jonathan Crane is an old and ugly doctor who was fired from Gotham University for experimenting on the students with his gas of fear), the character presented keeps the essence and motives that the original character has, unlike the Riddler, Mr Freeze, Two Face or Poison Ivy in Schumacher's awful versions.

A new Gotham city is presented, much more like a NY city style, a new Batmobile (not as fancy as the previous ones but quite impressive) and a whole set of characters we expect to see in future releases, James Gordon (Gary Oldman who amazingly looks exactly as Jim in the comic), Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine), Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), Jonathan Crane, Carmine Falcone and Ra's Al Ghul.

Masterfully executed by the whole cast and brilliantly directed by Nolan, there are many of us looking forward for a sequel to this film.

The extras

Disc one contains Mtv's "Tankman Begins", a spoof we could have lived without but without any doubt a collector's piece for all Mtv fans.

Disc two contains a set of documentaries related to all aspects of production and shooting of the film, from the early beginnings in Nolan's washing room until the shooting of some of the most difficult sequences of the film. The disc 2 is organized in a comic book-like format which makes it a little difficult to follow as many things are like hidden, but if you go until the end of the short and pointless story, you will find a list with all documentaries available. One of the documentaries called "Genesis of the bat" presents comic book artist related to Batman talking about the character and film, from Dennis O'Neil to Jim Lee. I am sure this will be a piece fans of the comic book will enjoy. All extras are worthy of watching and I strongly recommend the 2 disc set, it is a 5 o 6 dollar difference that will compensate with all the facts and items found in the bonus materials.

***BluRay review***

I had already written a review for this film when the two-disc special edition was released on DVD, so I will not get into any details about how great the movie is.

The treatment they gave to this release is incredible, image looks great and colors are stunning, the high definition definitely makes a difference and 'Batman Begins' looks better than ever (simply check out the ice sequence between Bruce and Ducard)

I have seen threads with questions as to what exactly does the limited edition set contains versus the regular single disc, so here are what I think are the most important ones:

The Disc

The disc included here is the same disc they released separately:
* All the extras from the 2-disc DVD are included, the documentaries and the awful 'Tankman Begins'
* The prologue to 'The Dark Knight' in high definition (are we in for a treat when released on Bluray!) This is basically the bank robbery scene that opens the sequel.

The Extras

The USB with 18 the stills from 'The Dark Knight' included in the DVD version of the gift set IS NOT INCLUDED in the Bluray gift set; don't know what the reason is but it would have made sense to include it in both versions.

The postcards included are selections from the art created to promote 'Batman Begins', in my opinion some of the images look simple and overall they are not that great.

The two comic books included are a joke! One is a comic book adaptation of the same 6 minutes prologue included in this edition (the bank robbery), the other one is the script with pictures of the same 6 minute prologue! I am a collector and big fan of Batman and even I find this ridiculous and overpriced.

The $7.50 coupon to see 'The Dark Knight' in theaters.

Bottom-line, I would give 3 stars to the BluRay release, not to the movie itself (which is great and looks superb in HD) but to the release. I am having buyer's remorse, don't be fooled by what the product description says, it may sound interesting but had I known the extras would be as they are, I would have gone for the cheaper single disc edition.

We all know how good the films are, they look & sound incredible in 4k Ultra HD too.

The steelbooks are very nice and very well designed, however what comes with them is just designed to push the price up another £10-£15.

A selection of Artcards, a small folded double sided poster and booklet that is pictures and no words. Would you pay £10-£15 for this on its own? Absolutely not.

They FINALLY got somebody who can do a good Bruce Wayne AND Batman! (And no eyeglasses!) Christian Bale looks exactly like Bruce Wayne ought to look: blandly handsome and spiffy...the way ol' BW's been portrayed in the comics since I can remember. Keaton wasn't quite right for the role, (though he did make a passable Batman,) and, while Kilmer was closer, he STILL wasn't bang on the mark. Bale is! However, as to whether this movie is as good as the best of the Tim Burton produced films is another matter. This film is NOT better than "Batman Returns" or "Batman Forever"! Both of these movies had incredible, tour-de-force portrayals of at least one character....Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman in "Returns" and Jim Carrey's Riddler and Chris O'Donnell's Robin/Dick Grayson in "Forever". Schumacher's Gotham City was a little more dazzling, as well. This version is TOO dark, and Batman comes off as a bit of a maniac. The character "Ra's Al Ghul" is also misrepresented here as well. "Ra's" is not oriental nor did he WORK for one, but was of some sort of aquiline nosed/Arabic-English background in the comic books, working entirely for himself. And he's a relative newcomer to the BM rogues' gallery, even though this film delineates the early days of Batman's career. "Ra's Al Ghul" is also a middle-eastern name, meaning "The Demon's Head". Where's Talia, his daughter?! The rejuvenation pool? He's also supposed to be a few hundred years old, something never covered in the movie! Scarecrow is ALSO a relative newbie! What gives?!

I also take issue with using Gary Oldman for Commissioner Gordon. OLDMAN DOES VILLAINS... heroes or friends of heroes! Just like they should have saved Keaton for The Riddler or Catman or someone, they should have saved Oldman for The Joker, or Deadshot or somebody...someone like Tom Selleck or Sam Elliot should have played Gordon! And when are they going to get Alfred right? Since the fococta TV show, Alfred has been portrayed as tall, white haired, old as the hills and bespectacled.... he's actually supposed to be about average in height, bald with dark haired fringe, mustachioed and proper-Brit-city, with 20/20 vision! Granted, Michael Caine is a decent actor, but it's hard to buy him as Alfred!

The plot for this movie seems confused, as if Nolan's still getting his sea-legs with the franchise...the first Burton movie suffered from this same problem, differently: IT looked hurriedly slapped together...this one looks like they just made a stew of every element they could think of! In fact, there were elements of the first Burton movie in it, re: the mixing of separate elements to get a viable poison eventually. None of this really seems to tie together as a coherent whole. For instance, why does Ducard become a villain, after initially TRAINING Bruce in the ways of the ninja? Why was Wayne Manor burned down? I also might add that Batman has NO bulletproof, Kevlar civvies in the comic book...never has had it! Just his utility belt, cape, cowl and leotard! Here, like in the Burton movies, he's outfitted like a S.W.A.T. team member! Makes sense, of course, but on the other points, why don't they stick to the source material?

AND THAT CAR!! The new Batmobile looks like a cross between a Lamborghini Countach, a Meyers Manx dune buggy and a Humvee! Whose bright idea was this? The danged thing looks like some device from the "Half-Life" computer game, not something you'd expect a millionaire crimefighter to be driving in deepest, darkest Gotham....Get an old boattail Riviera from the 70s out of mothballs, or the one Val Kilmer drove in "Batman Forever"....

All in all, it's a nice diversion, but if you could re-inject SOME of the jocular quality of the two excellent, middle Burton flicks into this new series, (and I'm sure there's going to be a sequel,) it would do the character a service.

Super Film aber das WARNER LAYOUT ist langsam untragbar!....

Wer meine Rezensionen kennt weiss, das ich eher auf die technische Umsetzung eingehe als auf den Film selber. Die Filminhalte der meisten Titel dürfte bekannt sein und bei den Rezensionen sind die Beschreibungen der technischen Inhalte wichtiger. (Das erwarte ich von ner Blu Ray Rezension)

Ich bin froh, das ich diese Blu Ray nur geliehen habe! Was sich WARNER als einer der finanzkräftigsten Labels erlaubt, ist schlicht weg eine Frechheit!

Es handelt sich um die 1. BD-Live Blu Ray in Deutschland und als wäre es vorprogrammiert gewesen, macht die Scheibe beim Einlesen schon auf sehr, sehr vielen Playern Probleme.

Hat man diese Hürde erst mal geschafft erlebt man dann folgendes:

Bildkurzbewertung:

+ Bildqualität erfreulicherweise auf meist hohem Niveau
+ Guter Schärfewert mit meist sehr guter Detailzeichnung
+ Gutes Kontrastverhältnis mit gutem Schwarzwert
+ Gute Farbwiedergabe trotz schwierigem dunklem Ausgangsmaterial
+ Viele plastische Aufnahmen mit guter Tiefenwirkung
- Disc wird auf vielen Playern gar nicht erst eingelesen
- Warnertypisches, unattraktives Primitiv Menülayout
- Deutsch nur Dolby 5.1.
- Minimaler Kontrast- und Detailverlust in ganz dunklen Bildbereichen
- Schwarzwert könnte besser sein
- Wenige Aufnahmen sehen etwas weich und weniger detailliert aus

Kein Label hinkt technisch so hinterher wie WARNER. Dolby Digital 5.1. war bei DVD noch okay, aber nicht bei Blu Ray! Interessanterweise war auf der HD-DVD Version dieses Films eine deutsche Syncro in Dolby TrueHD. Weshalb es diese Tonspur nicht auf die Blu Ray geschafft hat zeigt die Einstellung, die das Label gegenüber uns Kunden hat. Technisch wäre es überhaupt kein Problem gewesen!

Der Ton ist zwar nur in Dolby 5.1. aber es gibt wenigstens einen Trost, denn der Dolby Soundtrack wird bis aufs letzte ausgereizt. Vor allem die subtilen Soundeffekte sind sehr gelungen. Akustisch wertvoll sind die Schwertkampf Trainigsstunden auf dickem Eis. Als Bruce Wayne mit seiner eigenwilligen Verbrecherjagd beginnt wird die Surround-Anlage richtig gefordert. Eine beliebte DEMO-Sequenz ist definitiv die Autoverfolgungsjagd mit dem Batmobil. Hier wird einem akustisch das volle Programm geboten. Nichts für schwache Anlagen, denn die Dynamik ist oft brachial abgemischt mit jeder Menge Tiefbass! Auch kleine, direktionale Effekte sind hörbar und wurden mit den Dialogen sehr gut ausbalanciert.

Hoffentlich erlebe ich noch den Tag an dem WARNER Ihr Grundkonzept grundlegend ändert...
