This was a regular Blockbuster Video rental growing up and as an adult, I still love this movie SO much! With a funny/often touching storyline and stars like Fred MacMurray, Cloris Leachman, Harry Morgan, Kurt Russel, & Ed Begley Jr, I can't believe this movie isn't more well-known. Do yourself a favor and watch this beginning to end, no cell phone, no distractions. You'll come out on the other side, a fan of this classic!

This is a very good film over someone who discovers the important things in life such as family. While making money to support your family is good, to forget that there are other things to being a person to help make family life good are also important and sometimes can be the most importasnt thing. Knowing life is short, one needs to realize what is important and what is only necessary. In todays world, material things are not the most important things, but being loved and in love with one's family and taking care of them in many ways are the things that will count in the long run.

Set in the Great Depression, "Charley and the Angel" is a warm-hearted, tender tale that boasts adventure and romance. A workaholic general store owner receives a visit from up above and must reprioritize his life: an eloping daughter, two would-be-bootlegging sons, and a romantic wife who wants nothing more than to visit the World Fair all call Charley back to earth!

I am so glad I found this rare Disney treasure!
