Bree y Nathan son los mejores amigos desde los quince años. Estuvieron un tiempo separados, pero el destino un día les volvió a juntar. Él una estrella del futbol, ella la dueña de un estudio de danza solidario.

Y sorpresa, ambos han estado enamorados del otro desde siempre. EN SECRETO.

“A mi izquierda hay una vista del océano de tres millones de dólares, pero a mí derecha está la vista que daría mi alma por tener todos los días por el resto de mi vida”

Así que, tras una ex celosa, un reportaje poco favorable, una noche de borrachera y un video después, se ven obligados a comenzar una relación falsa. Una relación falsa que servirá a Nathan para conquistar a Bree. Cómo, os preguntareis. Pues con una chuleta. Una chuleta llena de cosas románticas (y no tanto) que hacer.

Bree me encanta, soy yo en tantas cosas que me he sentido súper identificada y Nathan es puro amor.

El libro ha estado bien, ha sido adorable pero cuando por fin ambos se juntan, bueno ha faltado algo. Si queréis algo liviano y os gusta el sport romance, podéis pasar un rato agradable con este libro.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I see myself reading more. When in Rome was my first and I adored it.

Some tropes to expect from this book;

- Friends to lovers
- Sports Romance
- Serious pinning
- Closed door on spice (pg13 throughout)

Our two leads are Bree and Nathan, they have been bedtfriends for as long as they can remember. One early morning run lead to an unbreakable bond. But could there be more if they only allowed themselves to be brave enough to find out?

Bree was set to be a ballerina at Juilliard, she was that good. But after a tragic accident changed the plan for her. She pushes Nathan away knowing that he'll do anything to stay with her and she wasn't about to watch him lose his dream too. But years later they are back to being inseparable... Bree wants more but she will never admit that, what would Nathan want with a ballerina dance teacher, who is struggling to get by and dances above a pizza shop.

Nathan *swoon* he is a pro baller, he got his dream but he is struggling to keep up at the moment. He doesn't let himself enjoy the moments, he doesn't believe he struggled enough to get where he is and has to show his worth every day. He too has feelings he has never revealed, his best friend is his whole world for more reasons than just friendship. He wants to be with her more than anything but with Bree saying things like 'he's like my brother' he really doesn't think she wants the same thing. What he doesn't know is Bree is doing that to save her own heart.

After a mishap with a reporter Bree and Nathan get thrust into a fake relationship for the sake of Nathan's image (not that he needs help he is the golden boy of his team) but his fans love the idea of him with Bree.

Can they cross over that friendzone line?
Will things every be the same between them?

There are so many cute moments throughout this book, I loved how their Friendship was never compromised. I loved how things were handled with Nathan's mum and I adored the relationship with the rest of the time.. it's like everyone knew but them.

Not going to lie I was ready for throwing my kindle out the window at the end, for a few reasons... HOW, I mean seriously how can we be getting dual POVS until the moment I wanted one. Like we needed to hear from him within them last 3 chapters. And then I just felt like things were a bit rushed at the end. I get the whole lost time and stuff but I just wanted more, am I greedy yup but still..

All in all I really did enjoy and would recommend.

Vou estar mentindo se disser que não fiquei com um sorrisinho bobo no rosto durante toda a leitura.
É um clichê? Óbvio
Mas você não consegue parar de rir das ideias bobas mas ao mesmo tempo eficazes que esses amigos/ brutamontes/ gostosos/ jogadores profissionais tem de atitudes românticas que com certeza vão conquistar a nossa mocinha.
Se prepara que lá vai um resumo da história
Bree é melhor amg de Nathan desde a escola e eles são apaixonados um pelo outro mas morrem de medo de falar algo, não serem correspondidos e a amizade acabar e por isso guardam esses sentimentos pra si mesmos até que após uma noite de bebedeira a nossa Bree acaba soltando a língua pra uma desconhecida e dá a entender que Nathan é apaixonado por ela. O grande problema? Essa desconhecida é ninguém menos que uma jornalista e no dia seguinte eles são a sensação da internet e disso tudo surge uma proposta irrecusável que envolve contrato de namoro falso.
No meio de toda essa confusão Nathan vê sua grande chance de sair da friendzone e mudar o jogo a seu favor e o melhor, sem correr o risco de perder a amizade, afinal todos os toques serão pura encenação pra mídia, né !?
Daí surge a grande idéia dos 5 jogadores de futebol patetas de escreverem uma espécie de livro de táticas de conquistas. Posso afirmar que agora com certeza sei porque todos estão solteiros.

I've read Sarah Adams' rom-coms before and having read this book I can say that her writing is just getting better and better! When I first saw the book being announced, I wasn't really excited but reading the early reviews made me want to give it a try. This is a bestfriends to lovers, fake dating, slowburn and sports romance.
"Bree’s warning tone, however, sounds as threatening as a cartoon baby bunny. Her eyes are big and sparkly and make me love her more."
Bree Camden is hopelessly in love with her highschool bestfriend Nathan Donelson but is unable to express how she feels in fear that it would ruin their friendship. Little does she know that Nathan feels the same about her and only dates when she's in a relationship too. They both don't know how to get out of the ridiculous friendzone but when Bree blurts out what she really feels while being drunk in a bathroom to a gossip journalist, the whole world suddenly wants them to be together.
"Nathan give everyone his business smile. It never reaches his eyes, and only I would know that, because now, he’s giving me his smile. The one I’ve seen since high school."
While Nathan came from a rich background and plays as a quarterback for the NFL , Bree worked hard to earn everything in her life. She wanted to attend Julliard for ballet instead life gave her a real big setback when she got into a terrible accident that busted up her knee. Now Bree teaches Ballet to aspiring teenagers at her dance studio in LA and lives just five blocks away from Nathan.
“It will be real.” She glares at me. “No. It. Won’t.” “My very real lips will be on your very real lips, Bree. That’s the very definition of real. It will not be in our heads.”
Because of Bree's little stunt, Nathan's manager suggest them to fake date until a commercial shoot for four weeks and suddenly Nathan's hidden feelings start to come out. To say Bree was shocked by his sudden change of attitude was an understandment. And Oh my god, these two were adorable together! Them being obviously in love with each other since the beginning was just so cute. Bree was such a strong, fierce, hilarious and sassy little thing. I loved her with her whole set of insecurities and her unabashed clumsiness! Nathan was such a cinnamon roll. He was so swoony and the little things he did for Bree made me love him even more. But, I've got to say, when it came to noticing how the other feels about them, they were oblivious. Thanks to Nathan's teammates and Bree's sister, Lily to make them come to a realisation.
Overall, everything about the book was perfect. There wasn't smut but even the slightest touches made me feel the burning tension between them. Bree & Nathan had a special connection and their intimacy just hit differently. They practically radiated soulmate vibes. The side characters really need their own books, I would definitely like to read more about them because I can't get enough. Pick the book up of you haven't yet because you definitely won't regret it!

Two people who've known each other for years and arguably are the worst communicators ever barely have any good sexual buildup, just a load of denial and unrealistic angst, and decide to wait for marriage before having sex. The author gives you further hope there might be banging but still...no. Disappointing. The other characters in the book were more interesting than the main characters, who were oblivious and boring. Didn't know there was term for this "closed-door" type novel but good to know so I can avoid it.

Quando eu comecei a ler eu já sabia que não encontraria um livro mega profundo ou com algum tipo de reflexão para fazer sobre um assuntoega importante. E devo dizer que de todas as leituras do ano The Cheat Sheet foi uma das mais engraçadas e mais leves, aquele ditado: não prometeu nada mas entregou tudo.

A vibe do livro é basicamente um grande filme de comédia romântica, desde os capítulos iniciais até mesmo as tramas. Algo que acabou me deixando um pouco perdida foi todo o arco do estúdio da Bree que se resolveu de maneira bem rápida e simples - totalmente contrária do jeito que a própria Bree apresenta para nós.

Mas ao mesmo tempo que isso é um defeito grande, a proposta do livro é bem interessante. A Bree quando está no comando da narração é bem engraçada, meio exagerada em alguns momentos porém algo que faz ela parecer crível. O Nathan por outro lado, vai total para o lado de príncipe encantado romântico de qualquer comédia romântica (o que não é ruim, veja bem, podemos sonhar né?).

Enfim, achei uma leitura engraçada e bem leve. A resolução dos conflitos são simples também, mas não era como se a gente esperasse algo diferente. Mas super recomendo para quem quer ler algo fofo e romântico para passar o tempo! Vale a pena sem dúvidas.

Ah! A falta deles conversarem pode incomodar, mas, é um dos carros chefes do livro essa "falta de comunicação" então, a gente aceita e vai.
