Descripción del producto
Fourth instalment in the blockbusting dinosaur series. 22 years after the events of 'Jurassic Park' (1993), Isla Nublar, located off the Pacific Coast of Central America, has been reopened as a dinosaur theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs - the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to clean up the mess. The supporting cast includes Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and Irrfan Khan.

And it's great that we finally get to see the park how it was intended to be at last - fully functioning and crammed full of paying guests, many of whom will inevitably of course become dino-snacks for the prehistoric beasts (large and small) they have come to gawp at. The park has a great feel to it and as all the guests excitably explore it's many features and star attractions you can't help but get excited about the fact that at some point you know it's going to all go horribly wrong, which is when the real action will kick in.
There is a familiar face or two but the new cast who see us through the unfolding chaos are mostly great - Chris Pratt makes for a great dinosaur trainer/hero with his rough and ready charm and easy humour and there is fairly decent chemistry between him and his female counterpart, Bryce Dallas - the park manager, who together are trying to contain the chaos (and death count) whilst also trying to keep her two nephews safe, who have picked the worst week possible to come and see the island. The older of the two nephews perhaps wasn't quite ready for a film this big but given his age you can't really hold it against him too much.
The film might be fairly formulaic but there are some nice nods to the original film along with new and improved dinosaurs (and the addition of some Chris-Pratt-Trained friendly raptors helping to save the day was a nice touch) and the two hours flew by with plenty of action.

I love the different setting of this one, and I like the way it completes what was intended with the first 'Jurassic Park' - i.e. a theme park where these dinosaurs are displayed! The new actors also breathe some fresh air into the franchise, as do the new dinosaurs! I won't give any spoilers re:plot, but it's got the usual dose of peril and action as the other films. Just a really enjoyable, easy to watch movie, ideal to relax with a beer and some popcorn with - loved it!

If you are a fan of the earlier 'Jurassic Park' films, you will also enjoy 'Jurassic World'. In many ways, the older films are formulaic, and this is written and produced very much to that same, highly successful, formula:
Take a handsome, hunky alpha male, an attractive but not too ditzy female, and some cute kids of various sizes, add some superb locations, some totally inept authority figures and a large number of teeth. Shake and stir, season with a lot of fake blood, and serve hot and fast.
Jurassic World follows this formula to the letter. It has merely increased the size of the teeth, and the numbers of potential victims in jeopardy, with the new Theme Park already operating and in full swing, as the film opens. However, it produces a very entertaining result from this ‘dynos' by-the-numbers, adding a nice little twist by having Velociraptors, formerly one of the arch villains, now being called upon to be part of the solution. ‘Cute Velociraptors’ are probably beyond even Hollywood’s abilities for invention, but this will certainly have improved their profile!
All in all, this is a good, entertaining family film, certainly a good choice for a wet Sunday afternoon. Enjoy!
