You can email them to get the audio mp3 of the stories which are really useful to have. Some are recorded and some are not but the ones that are not, use similar language. These are excellent for me as they not absolutely basic, but still around my level. I like the way they put the translations immediately underneath the Spanish rather than shove them on an opposite page. The stories are interesting and topical and realistic.

Native pronouciation not too fast and very clear but not 'idiot slow' which is unrealistic. The English translations are not done by a English native speaker you can tell but that gives you a clue as to how they think; I was quite happy with the translations cos you can read between the lines of what they intend. I love these books and I'm working my way through them. the books themselves are really well produced and the printing is excellent with the size of the font and font itself very appropriate.

They would probably suit those who are learning Spanish to be able to speak the language rather than those who are just 'holiday survival'. They also have an intermediate one and I bought that too but I'm not on that yet.

I have just purchased this book so I have not yet used it extensively. The text looks good but finding out how to use the downloaded audio was not easy at all. When I did listen to some of it I was appalled to find a female with an English accent making no attempt to pronoun the Spanish words correctly. DO NOT listen to the audio if you want to learn Spanish - no Spanish person will understand a word you are saying.
