Okay, so, I remembered watching this on tv in the 1990s (UK screening) and being very impressed and sad that it got cancelled. I first bought the German box set because it was region 2. Anyone thinking to do the same, do yourself a favour and, instead, go to 'Amazon US' and order the region 1 version from there (multi region dvd players are so inexpensive, these days), shipping takes a bit longer but it IS well tracked. "What's wrong with the German version?" I hear you ask; well, while it's straightforward enough to turn off the dubbing, in episode 2 there's a conversation in Chinese - for which I needed subtitles - you've guessed it, they were in German and you really can't afford to miss a single word (glance, gesture etc) of this masterpiece.
As a piece of drama it is beyond perfect - superb acting, writing, directing - everyone responsible for this, created a thing of wonder and it's a shame that it didn't find those, all important, ratings. Yeah, it's dark but the hugely successful 'Dexter' was a lot darker. The concept is not even THAT unrealistic; after all, it's common knowledge that a lot of successful corporate types are high functioning psychopaths - at least Jim Profit has a really good excuse!
