This is a film with a very ambitious story which is brought down by lack of budget and the resulting hokey digital effects.
Yes, this is just a basic SyFy TV movie and you have to applaud the fact that someone thought that they could bring the story to the screen and that they actually convinced someone at the network to spend the money. The story, although completely preposterous, works reasonably well if you just ignore the plethora of plot problems and let it all happen. Basically, some scientists found seeds from the Garden of Eden (seriously) and one of the seeds got dropped where, in seconds, it took hold and started taking over the country. A scientist, a government agent and two students end up banding together to save the day. For such an enormous problem, the solution to the problem is, of course, created in a few minutes by a single person.
But if you like cheap monster movies (the monster being a plant) and don't mind lots of cheap digital effects, you might enjoy a mindless 87 minutes with this film.
