sale de referencia el idioma español, uno de los discos tiene un pequeño desajuste diria rayado pero apenas pierdes 5 minutos

This is the third series of "Atlantis". There is always a danger of a spin-off series failing to develop its own character separate from that of the original; but this has not been the case here.

Although they still have links back to Earth and there are a few crossover plot items, the storylines are still that bit different from SG-1. Partly this is due to the dynamics between the various characters for which the writers came up with some really interesting and quirky twists; the loss of key personnel from the main cast list is an example.

The writers were producing some really good material for this season; there were a number of moral conflict plot lines and these were directed in a way that allows the stories to develop naturally without seeming that they were trying to preach a message within a short space of time. The sets and locations were really excllent as were the special effects; although you know that it's not real, it's difficult not to get caught up in the narrative as the whole package is just so well put together.

The box set also contains some really good extra material; shots of behind the scenes, interviews with cast, writers, directors etc. All of this makes thsi a really great set to own and it's one that I will keep by the T.V.

Due to not being impressed with the original Stargate film I had never bothered with any of the TV series but I recently found myself watching an episode of SG Atlantis and was so impressed I wanted to know more about how it started and after buying, watching & loving the first two seasons I have now added Season 3 and they just seem to get better and better. I should’ve put aside my doubts and just got the full box set.

Well as time went by this series really hit it's creative stride!
Season 3's personal story telling method worked very well especially with the Aliens inspired episode 'Vengeance' and guest star Connor Trineer as Micheal.
Torri Higginson will always be the best leader of Atlantis and the third series proved it the most. I wanted her to stay till the end!

Okay, I admit it, I like all things Stargate so probably not an objective reviewer for this item. I have to confess that the reappearance of the replicators and the constant Jenii popping up throughout the series gets repetitive. Maybe the screenwriters need to come up with new story lines.

This series is something of a combination of MacGyver and Star Trek, so it will give you the entertainment you want, a combination of Science Fiction and family adventure ... a good enough film, definitely not a waste of time, but at the same time it will not win an Oscar; but you already know that.

This series have a nice variation of being in "our time», "the future", in space and on the ground at the same time ... and that variation is that's make consume the 5 DVDs with a smile and what's driving me to see/buy season 4 soon ...

If you love light adventures combined with a taste of Sci-Fi, buy it and Enjoy :-)
