Based if but loosely on a P.S game much loved by my Daughter and her hubby,
(I myself am not a game player so was able to watch with no expectations and
enjoyed the film) though it seems many that have played the game say it
drifted some from the game theme.....glad I could watch it as an adventure
movie
We find two brothers who, though they will go different ways in life obsessed
by the legendary Magellan expedition of years gone by and the lost gold.
Nate (Tom Holland) has never forgot the legend or indeed his brother Sam
who he'd promised to reunite with one day.
Well, Nate is singled out by fortune hunter Victor (Mark Wahlberg ) who believes
Nate will help him unlock the clues of the treasures whereabouts they are joined by.
Chloe ( Sophia Ali ) another fortune hunter who, however, proves to be only out for
herself, sharing not in her thinking.
The trio will be relentlessly followed and pursued by the unscrupulous Santiago Moncada
(Antonio Banderas) and his sidekick Jo (Tati Gabrielle) and their band of thugs.
It seems trust is very thin on the ground as they close in on the prize.
Will anyone come out of the chase ahead.?
On its own, an action-packed fun-ride that'll keep you glued to the screen.

I got this film as part of a special offer with Amazon. It's basically an old-fashioned Hollywood crime caper and is hugely enjoyable. The bonding between Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland is excellent and gives the film its core. The action scenes are genuinely thrilling, and I'm not usually a fan of action movies. Easily my favourite film of the last few years. It's good to know that Hollywood has not entirely abandoned making entertaining movies instead of films which preach to the audience.

No I'm not twelve, or a boy lol but I have heard of the computer/xbox/play Station games of the same name as I'm a parent of said boy.
Least this didn't cost me £30/40 this time.

Getting on to the film, I enjoyed it. Flew by and didn't drag like Jim Morrisons life story... Good CGI and a flimsy but noticeable plot line.
Not disappointed I spent my money on the dvd

Any film is never going to like for like a video game. But with that being said there are good variations of clips from the game. The film takes on a very youthful Nathan Drake and Sully is pretty much a spring chicken in this.

I personally really enjoyed this film which compared to the game was really well thought out providing humour along the way. There were a couple of bits of the film which didn’t quite make sense but that’s just me being picky.

All in all a really enjoyable film and definitely one I’d watch again.

Forget the negative reviews on here, gamers comparing films to the games. This is a great film and deserves a watch. Enjoy it!
