El producto no está, lo único es que hoy día que un producto no sea Plug and Play es un atraso. Luego aparte de que ya apenas hay lectores de CD/DVD. Yo tu que instalarlo y desistalarlo y fué cuando me me reconoció el dispositivo para poder utilizarlo, lo cual hace que menos lógica tenga entonces el hecho de que no tenga toda la información de controladores y de del dispositivo en el mismo. Por lo que estuve a pocos minutos de devolverlo porque no conseguia hacer que funcionara, cuando debería de ser algo muy fácil. Para mi recomendación busque otro aunque sea un poco más caro, tipo 5.0 que funcione por Usb 3.0 a ser posible y que sea Plug and Play.

So I downloaded the software from the disc it comes with and when I plugged mine in it worked but all the device names were random ips for the devices. This may not be a big deal for you if you can figure out which device is which. But I live in an apartment building in Las Vegas so there’s about 30 different devices it tried to let me connect to. But it would be super hard to find the right one that I’m looking for when there are no names on any of the devices just a bunch of random letters and numbers. It works technically but I’m not going to use it.

NOTE FOR GAMERS -- you may want to avoid this dongle. A simple product like this should do what it is intended to do, no less, no more. The problem is that this dongle installed and automatically turned on a notification system totally unrelated to its Bluetooth functionality (it's a Cambridge Silicon Radio - CSR - program). This notifications system would display on-screen notifications (in the bottom right corner of my monitor) whenever CAPS LOCK or NUM LOCK were pressed. I didn't mind, except that whenever I was playing a game in full screen mode, if I accidentally pressed CAPS LOCK it would automatically minimize the game. I'd imagine it would do the same thing with full-screen movies as well. Super annoying, right? It took me quite a while to troubleshoot this problem I scoured the internet and, after trying several methods that didn't work, I finally found a solution in the COMMENTS on a YouTube video. I had to go into Windows Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cambridge Silicon Radio\Harmony\Default, entire the file titled "OSD," change the value from 1 to 0, and then restart my machine. If they are going to include "features" like this on-screen display system, they should at least make it easier to disable them. Or set the default to off and give instructions to people that might want this feature.

no mac support and couldn’t get it to work correctly in Linux

I shouldn’t have to go to the company website *after* I bought this dongle to find out there is not mac support. (mind you, I later realized there was a customer Q&A that confirmed no mac support so partly my fault)

I got Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS to recognize the bluetooth adaptor (confirmed in bluetoothctl) and it wouldn’t discover devices. This also might be my fault, I was frustrated with the lack of Mac support enough that I decided xpadneo wasn’t worth tinkering more with (I was trying to get an X Series Xbox controller paired on Ubuntu via this open source driver). The lack of mac support was enough of a dealbreaker.

It is actually challenging to find a reliable bluetooth adaptor that supports Windows, macOS, and Linux/Ubuntu.

Looks like I’ll be returning the Xbox S Series controller too and just getting a used PS/4 or Xbox One controller but this is a saga for another time... *sigh*

This is very inexpensive, so its hard to be too disappointed but just a couple things made me chuck this in the trash...1. it needs a driver, that takes about 10 minutes to load (??). Nothing in Win10 today needs a driver. Humph. 2. It doesn't work consistently, always...I mean just turn on PC and it works as its still connected. I've had to pull it out and reinsert it numerous times to get it to work. 3. It cuts out after a while. BT device sits there looking for a BT radio. Then repeat number two. 4. It does weird things to my volume control for an external speaker (primary use). It mutes auto and then I need to find the device to adjust volume using a pull down menu before I can get it to function properly. Pros: Its small and not expensive (a Big Mac meal basically), so it does have that going for it. Sadly I just find it easier to use my 10 year old USB dongle with cellophane tape holding it together instead of this new one. That one I just leave in, no driver, it works. I guess new isn't always better.

Plug in, and Windows 10 PC wouldn't find the adapter. Tried multiple USB ports with no luck. Inserted the driver CD, installed the drivers and still no luck. It would show up in "Device Manager" but Settings/Bluetooth showed nothing. Finally did a search for Windows Drivers and used the generic Bluetooth driver and it seems to be working. Dump the CD with the drivers and use a generic driver.

device was installed and hooks up to my cellphone with bluetooth, but does not allow me to hook up wifi thru the computer connection. I suppose the device may come in useful for other items in the future, but I was quite annoyed that it did not work in this instance as that was the reason I bought it.

Worked fine for a month. Now it's fine for 30-60 mins and then starts stuttering? Restarting the bluetooth helps but it starts going weird again 30 mins later. Not great for the price.

pros: cheap and fast shipping...
Cons : "the trash dont work"
...seems to install ,creates the Bluetooth icon but NEVER finds any devices..even a bluetooth enabled phone 2 inches away....there were no drivers on the website and honestly how many laptops come with CD-roms anymore ? .....at $8 I dont even feel like getting a return but DONT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY !!...oh and the helpdesk is non-respondent to date. UPDATE=> ok...the manufacturer reached out to me...they dint have a solution but they offered a refund and begged that I rescind my NOT rescinding but I am modifying it...
1. the hardware itself is NOT TRASH
2. the drivers for Linux Mint did not plugnplay (contrary to advert)....and the homepage DID NOt have a software\driver fix\download
soooo why update the review? there is a fix within Linux world for the Bluetooth drivers....yet STILL it wasnt plugnplay as warranted.
after I changed the Bluetooth management tool....it worked...sort of...I had to sit the computer on top of a device which is detected from accross the room with other Bluetooth devices....but once detected it paired and I moved the laptop across the room with success.
